Tips for attending a modeling Casting Call
Keep It Simple
When attending a casting, opt for well-fitted clothing that highlights your figure. Neutral colors usually work well. Black or blue skinny jeans, a neutral T-shirt, and a good pair of heels are a safe choice. Remember, the goal is to let your natural beauty shine through.
Go Makeup-Free
Casting directors prefer to see your flawless, makeup-free skin. Even the tiniest bit of foundation can be noticeable. So, leave the makeup at home.
Personal Hygiene Matters
Make sure you’re clean and fresh. Wash your skin, hair, and nails before the audition. Details count, and casting professionals will notice.
Get Enough Sleep
A professional model should look well-rested. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep before the casting. The best beauty regimen is sleep.
Opt for a Simple Hairstyle
A simple updo or ponytail is sufficient. The key is to keep your hair from covering your face.
Now, let’s talk about the Comp Card. This is an essential tool for any serious model.
Here are some details:
What Is a Comp Card?
It’s a paper presentation card that showcases your modeling potential. It includes your best portfolio photos, your measurements, and contact information. Think of it as your visual resume for the modeling industry.
• What Is It Used For? The Comp Card is handed out in person during castings and Go-Sees. It serves as a business card that allows casting professionals to remember you and contact you for jobs such as runway shows, photoshoots, or clothing catalogs.
• Who Needs a Comp Card? Any model aiming for serious casting opportunities or working with agencies should take creating their Comp Card seriously.
Get ready with your Comp Card and follow these tips to shine in your casting call!
